Keira to star as duchess Georgiana - Aug 03, 2007
Keira Knightley is gearing up to play the 18th century aristocrat Georgiana Spencer, duchess of Devonshire, in “The Duchess” by Saul Dibb for Pather and BBC Films. The movie is based on Amanda Foreman’s best seller biography of the controversial royal, who has been named the Pincess Diana of her century. The aristocrat, who was known for her extravagant, dissipated and promiscuous life in politic and romance, became a powerful figure among Britain’s ruling elite. The shooting is set to begin in October.
